The two villages Au and Schoppernau lie in a valley on the edge of Bregenzerwald. Surrounding towering mountains offer guests a harmonious picture. Both villages are closely linked together by the strong Diedamskopf lift system.

The region is guest friendly. There are a sufficient number of hotels, inns, guest houses, private rooms and apartments available. For guests more interested in a rustic visit, the locals offer a "vacation on the farm".

The sports facilities include approximately 60 km of cross country trails, 30 km of cleared hiking trails, natural toboggan runs, and an ice skating area. For romantics we offer moonlight sleigh rides or a torchlight walk through the snowy winter landscape.

The entertainment is not lacking. Guests will be entertained with events during their stay. An Aprés- Ski hang out at the valley station offers pleasant comfort and a leisurely drink. The restaurants in the area pamper guests with local specialties such as Käsknöpfle (cheese spaetzle). A visit to the "Nahtstubat" is a guaranteed unforgettable experience.
